Virat Kohli's RCB Teammate and Glenn Maxwell likes a controversial tweet about Kohli

Australian broadcaster by the name of ‘7 Cricket’ made the headlines for all the wrong reasons of late. They came up with an irrelevant stat comparing Indian Test captain Virat Kohli and Australia’s fast bowler Mitchell Starc.

The official Twitter handle identified as ‘7 cricket’ observed that Mitchell Starc has been a better performing player compared to Virat Kohli in Test cricket since the start of 2019. The majority of the fans didn’t like the comparison as it is totally illogical and clueless. The Twitter handle posted Mitchell Starc and Virat Kohli’s batting average as a stat and captioned the post as “Your stat of the day”.

Meanwhile, fans were not happy with the comparison as they lashed out at the broadcaster for coming up with this sort of statistic. Since the start of 2019, Mitchell Starc’s batting average is 38.63 while Virat Kohli’s batting average is 37.17.

Well, it’s true that Kohli hasn’t raised his bar in the last 2 years. Although he chipped in with fifty-plus scores, he didn’t create waves in international cricket. He is yet to end his international century drought.

It’s been a long time since we saw the run-machine dominate the game. His last international century came against Bangladesh back in 2019. Since then, Kohli has been struggling to score a century across formats.

Glenn Maxwell likes a controversial tweet about Virat Kohli

Meanwhile, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell who came across the controversial tweet decided to like it in the first place. Maxwell played under Virat Kohli’s captaincy for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli are good friends on and off the field. The majority of the fans were of the opinion that Maxwell shouldn’t have liked the controversial tweet since it was about the baseless comparison.
